Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of an excessive shock with the operation of speed change by holding the speed change stages of an auxiliary transmission at a fixed speed change stage when a main transmission is selected at low speed change stages.
CONSTITUTION: A driving device is formed to ensure that a speed change signal generating circuit 274 does not generate speed change signals by the signals of a low speed detecting circuit 258 when the first gear detecting switch 224 is closed. Consequently, when a main transmission is selected at the first gear, the speed change signal generating circuit 274 does not generate speed change signals though a speed change instruction switch 246 is closed, and does not change the speed of the auxiliary transmission. Thus, an excessive shock being accompanied by the operation of speed change is not generated, and drivability of the automobile is improved.
