PURPOSE: To measure a kick voltage in a short time with excellent manner, by generating a kick voltage suitable for measurement without distortion and variance through the use of DC voltage.
CONSTITUTION: A given DC voltage from a DC constant voltage circuit 3 is fed between a bimetal contact 8c and a fixed contact 8b of a glow switch 8 via a polarity inversion circuit 4 by taking the fixed contact 8b as positive to cause glow discharge. Contacts 8b and 8c are contacted through the glow discharge, and in response to the contact of the contacts 8b, 8c, the polarity of applied DC voltage is inverted to take the bimetal contact 8c as positive, and to open the contacts 8b and 8c. The kick voltage produced at this time is measured at a kick voltage measuring circuit 9 and it is input to a microcomputer 11 to judge the quality of the glow switch 8.
