Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically compensate the measuring error, by adding the component according to compensation current with the output of electrode via a variable gain circuit so that they are cancelled each other and controlling the variable gain circuit with the output detected for the phase difference between measured output and the voltage fed to the electrode.
CONSTITUTION: An AC voltage is fed to meaure electrode E with an oscillator OSC and the current flowing to the elctrode E is given to the inverting input of a differential amplifier A2 via an amplifier A1. On the other hand, the AC voltage is fed also to a capacitor C1 to produce the compensation current different from the phase by the AC voltage by 90°, and the compensation current is given to a noninverting input of the differential amplifier A2 via a variable gain circuit VGA. The output of the differential amplifier A2 is given to the indica tor M as the measured output. The measured output and the voltage fed to the electrode E are detected for the phase difference at the phase comparator PC and this detected output is used for the gain control of the variable gain circuit VGA via an amplifier A3.
