Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify fitting works of fluid pipes and to improve reliability of connected part of fluid pipes, by manufacturing previously fluid pipes to be installed in trunion shafts and fitting them in trunion shafts by insertion.
CONSTITUTION: A connecting member composed of the first fluid pipe 5 and the second fluid pipe 6 manufactured previously, is fitted to horizontal hole 3 of trunion shaft 1 through the opened window of vertical groove 4 installed at the trunion shaft fitting part 2 opened toward the furnace body. One end of pipe 5 is connected to flowing route 9 in the rotary joint. Then the opened window of vertical groove is closed by means of cover 8 and the connecting part is welded to the pipings of furnace body at a place where trunion shaft fitting part 2 of pipe 6 is projected from the lower face.
