Abstract

PURPOSE: To make up for insufficient brake force throughout the vehicle when any one system fails by releasing the liquid controlling action of the other system while the liquid pressure of the rear wheel brake takes balance as an independent system during the normal operation.
CONSTITUTION: When a liquid pressure is transmitted to input liquid chambers a1 and b1, a pisont 10 moves to the left against a spring 12 while a plunger 5 moves through a pin 9. As a result, a seat 8 is inserted into a seal 14 to close the communication between the liquid chambers a1 and a2 causing a slow rise in the output liquid pressure in the system A. This moves a piston 7 until a balance reaches between the output liquid pressure in the system A and the output liquid pressure in the system B. When the system B fails, the plunger 5 is pushed to the right under the liquid pressure of the system A while the piston 10 does not move to the left being retained with a pin 9, where both chambers a1 and b2 are communicated with no liquid pressure control. When the system A fails, the plunger 5 moves to the left under a liquid pressure in the system B causing the pison 10 to contact a blind hole 11. Because the piston 7 does not move relative to the plunger 5, a ball 19 does not engage with a valve seat 21, therefore, no liquid pessure control is performed.
