Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to make communication with optimum state between both the satellites, even if the position between the data relay satellite and the user satellite is changed, by mounting multibeam antennas and a computer controlling these on the user satellite. CONSTITUTION:On a user satellite 2 in the data relay satellite system consisting of a data relay satellite 1, user satellite 2, and earth station 3, radiation antennas of multibeams 15a-15d consisting of a main reflection mirror 8, subreflection mirror 9, primary radiators 10a-10d, and switching circuit 11, computer 13 controlling the circuit 11, and power feeding circuit 12 are mounted. The computer 13 is stored in advance with the mutual position of both the satellites calculated from the both orbit data of the satellites 1 and 2. When the satellite 2 is at position A, electromagnetic waves are radiated with the beam 15a and when the satellite 2 is at position B, the beam 15b is selected; as such, the computer 13 controls the circuit 11. Thus, even if the mutual position of the satellites is changed, the communication between both the satellites can be made with optimum condition at all times.
