Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the user satellite use antenna and to make light the weight, by mounting a computer on the user satellite and by programming the computer so that the antenna beams go toward the data relay satellite corresponding to each position of the satellite on the orbit. CONSTITUTION:On the data satellite in the data relay satellite system consisting of a data relay satellite, user satellite and earth station, an antenna section 11 consisting of a reflection mirror 15 and a primary radiation mirror 8, rotary joint section 13, driving and controlling device 10, transmitter 12 and computer 16 are mounted. The computer 16 is programmed in advance so that the beam of the antenna section 11 on each position on the orbit of the user satellite always goes toward the data relay satellite. The device 10 is controlled with the signal from the computer 16, and a joint section 13 is rotated by a required angle. Thus, tracking mechanism is made unnecessary, only one radiator 8 is required, and antenna driving mechanism is simplified and made light in weight.
