Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform the induction for the travelling object by detecting the shift direction of the travelling object to the electromagnetic induction line, thus reducing the meandering running of the travelling object.
CONSTITUTION: Loop coil 2a provided vertically to the horizontal plane and right- angled to the longer direction of electromagnetic induction line 1 plus loop coil 2b provided right-angled to the horizontal plane and horizontally to the longer direction of line 1 are mounted on the travelling object (not shown in the figure) which runs along line 1. In case the direction of the travelling object shifts to line 1, both coils 2a and 2b also shift to line 1 by θ. In this connection, the magnetic line of force 4 given from line 1 pierces from face 3a through 3b of coil 2a. And in case the coils shift in the opposite direction, force 4 pierces through coil 2a in the opposite direction. On the other hand, the direction of force 4 piercing through coil 2b is constant regardless of its shift direction. Accordingly, the phases of the voltage induced to coils 2a and 2b become in the same direction or the opposite direction according to how to shift. Thus this phase direction is detected to give the directional control to the travelling object.
