Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a surface member for seat whose pattern part is deep and rich in a solid feeling and which can be mass-produced at an inexpensitve cost, by a method wherein an outer layer having a pleat expansion part, a porous cushion sheet having stripe channels, and a backing cloth are welded by a high frequency at a channel bottom part, and othr part is adhere with an adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting material (for example, woven cloths made of polyamide fibers) is pressed between the nip formed by a male mold, whereon linear expansion parts 11 are formed, and a female mold 14, wherein stripe channels 13 corresponding to the expansion parts are provided to form an outer layer 1 with pleat expansion parts 6. A porous cushion sheet 3 is adhered with an adhesive to a section except the pleat expansion parts 6, and the layer 1 and the backing cloth 4 are welded by a high frequency at the pleat expansion parts 6.
