Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method which permits repetitive uses of the developer by developing the electrostatic images on a recording body by means of fine particles comprising rigid bodies then transferring the fine particles onto pressure sensitive recording paper and pressing the same thereby obtaining the colored images on the recorging paper.
CONSTITUTION: Electrostatic images are formed on a recording body 1 by a known method. Next, the electrostatic images are developed by ordinary developing means by using fine particles 2 of rigid bodies such as metal powder or glass powder, whereby the particle images comprising the fine particles 2 are obtained. Next, the particle images are electrostatically transferred by means of, for example, a corona charger 4, onto the ordinary pressure sensitive recording paper 3 consisting in dispersing and mixing microcapsuled dyes and developers into a binder and coating the mixture on paper. Further, the recording paper 3 carrying the particle images are pressed by a pressing machine 5, whereby only the parts having the particle images are strongly pressed to break down the microcapsules, and the colored images are obtained by the reaction of the dyes and the developers. Thence, the fine particles 3 on the paper are removed and the recorded images are thus obtained. The removed fine particles 2 are reusable.
