Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the temperature of the entire battery-pack to be accurately detected by installing bundled cylindrical storage batteries in a housing, and placing a temperature sensor within a small space which is surrounded by these batteries. CONSTITUTION:Battery blocks 3a and 3b, each of which is made by bundling three cylindrical storage batteries 1 so that the centers of these batteries form a triangle, are placed within a housing 2 consisting of a case 2a and a cover 2b. A charging- voltage compensating temperature-sensor 6, which is covered with an insulating tube, is inserted into a space 5 surrounded by the three batteries of the battery block 3a. Besides, output terminals 8 are provided at one end of the housing 2 for voltage output terminals 7a and 7b which extend from the battery blocks 3a and 3b as well as an output terminal 9 of the temperature sensor 6.
