Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain uniform magnetic field distribution without demagnetizing the produced field, by fixing small magnet chips having different dimension on the outer circumferential face of a cylindrical permanent magnet or a pole piece. CONSTITUTION:The periodic field focusing device 1 has such structure that the magnetic poles are faced alternatively against a cylindrical permanent magnet 2 while pole pieces 3 of magnetic member are placed on both end faces of the magnet 2, and rubber magnet chips 4 having different dimension are fixed on the outer circumferential face of the cylindrical permanent magnet 2 or the pole piece 3. The magnetic flux 10 passing through the outer circumference at the portion where the flux density is low due to magnetic polarization is reinforced by a rubber magnet chip 4 to make the distribution of the magnetic flux uniform.
