Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the ratio of available energy by a method wherein an evaporator is divided into two, which are placed on the upstream side and on the downstream side along the air flow in a room, and the evaporator on the upstream side is operated at a higher evaporation temperature than the evaporator on the downstream side.
CONSTITUTION: An exterior unit 1 is provided with a compressing mechanism 3 consisting of two compressors 3A, 3B, a condenser 4 and an exterior fan 7 which are all contained in a casing. On the other hand, a room unit 2 is provided with an air-cooling evaporator 5, a decompressing mechanism 6 and a room fan 8 which are all contained in a casing. The evaporator 5 and the decompressing mechanism 6 are divided into two, respectively. The first and second evaporators 5A and 5B are placed respectively on the upstream side and on the downstream side of the air flow. Accordingly, two coolant systems, i.e., a refrigerating cycle of compressor 3A→condenser 4→decompressor 6A→evaporator 5A→compressor 3A and a refrigerating cycle of compressor 3B→condenser 4→decompressor 6B→evaporator 5B→ compressor 3B are constituted.
