Abstract
PURPOSE:To swiftly execute a fly-back operation and elevate efficiency of the vertical deflecting circuit, by using the fly-back electric power supply having higher voltage than the scanning supply voltage, in the vertical deflecting circuit of a television set. CONSTITUTION:When an input signal is input to the input terminal during the scanning period of time, the transistors T1, T2 are turned on alternately, and currents I1, I2 flow from the electric power supply VCC. During the fly-back period of time, the current I2 which has been flowing into the deflecting coil 4 becomes an impulse transient current i2 when the transistor T2 is turned off, flows into the capacitor 15, and charges the capacitor 15 with electricity. When the current i2 becomes zero, the current i1 flows through the transistor 16 which has conducted by electric discharge of the capacitor 15, the capacitor 15 is charged with electricity in the reverse 3 direction, and the transistor 16 becomes off. The fly-back time can be shortened by selecting the capacity of the capacitor 15 and the supply voltage VP, and also the value of the supply voltage VCC can be made equal to the voltage applied to the deflection coil 4 during the scanning period time, and therefore the inductance of the deflecting coil 4 can be enlarged.
