Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the device and make initial cost low and operation simple by supporting two units of ladles on tundish upper part guides, and pushing and sliding the next filled ladle onto the tundish after carrying out the empty ladle. CONSTITUTION:A pair of parallel horizontal guides 5, 5 are provided above the tundish, not shown, supported to a machine frame 1, and are so formed that the brackets 9, 9 provided on both sides of ladles 8, 8' are directly supported on the guides 5, 5; in addition, ladle sliding devices 22, 22 which push said brackets 9 along the guides 5, 5 are provided to constitute the ladle moving device. Before the ladle 8 supported to the guide 5 becomes empty, the next filled ladle 8' is placed on the guide 5 by means of a crane, and after the emptied ladle 8 is carried out, the ladle 8' is pushed and slided by the device 22 up to the guide 5. With this used, just one unit of crane is required and the movement of the ladles may be performed safely and easily.
