Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A hairpin tube 2 is inserted into the holes 3a of plate type fine 3, to form a heat exchange body 1. The tube expanding bar 4 mounted with a tube expanding body 5 is gradually moved to expand the hairpin tube 2 and adhere and fix the same to the fins 3. At this time, the grooves 6 formed to the tube expanding body 5 are formed obliquely to the shaft of the tube expanding bar 4, hence rotating force is generated in the tube expanding body 5 according to the movement of the tube expanding bar 4, thus the tube expanding body 4 expands the tube while rotating. Hence, the grooves of the state inclined to the tube central shaft are simultaneously formed on the inside surface of the hairpin tube 2. The heat exchanger of high heat transfer efficiency and superior heat exchange characteristic is obtained by this method.
