Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of the quality for a reproduced picture, by holding temporarily the electric charge generated at the detection element preceding the defective detection element and then using this charge in place of the signal caused by the defective element having a defective action. CONSTITUTION:The address corresponding to the defective element number is supplied previously into the read-only memory means in the compensating circuit 40. In case this address designation is carried out by the address counter 15, the output voltage supplied from the memory means 14 is switched to a low level from a high level. As a result, the transfer action of the D flip-flop group 11 is discontinued, and the 1-picture element preceding output is held at the flip-flop 11 to then emerge at the output via the D/A converter 7 and the amplifier 8.
