Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deformation of sheathing wall by water and soil pressures during the excavation of pit for making construction work safer by a method in which a deep trench is dug in the short side direction of a pit excavation position and horizontal plates are provided at the excavating portion between continuous walls under the ground before excavation.
CONSTITUTION: Prior to excavating the sheathing wall of underground continuous wall to be excavated, a deep trench 1 for providing a support framework 4 between the sheathing walls of the underground continuous wall is dug in the short side direction of the pit excavating position by means of a continuous wall excavator.
