Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the deformation of sheathing wall by water and soil pressures during the excavation of pit for making construction work safer by a method in which a deep trench is dug in the short side direction of a pit excavation position and horizontal plates are provided at the excavating portion between continuous walls under the ground before excavation.
CONSTITUTION: Prior to excavating the sheathing wall of underground continuous wall to be excavated, a deep trench 1 for providing a support framework 4 between the sheathing walls of the underground continuous wall is dug in the short side direction of the pit excavating position by means of a continuous wall excavator. Then, the support framework built up in a multistage form by a vertical H-shaped steel 2 and a horizontal material 3 connecting the vertical H-shaped steels is inserted into the deep trench 1, and gravel 5, etc., are filled in the space of the trench and a lean mortar mix 6 is injected into the deep trench 1. The support framework 4 is placed in parallel along the longitudinal direction of the pit excavating position. Then, deep trench is excavated in the ground between the vertical material 2 of the adjacent support frameworks 4 and underground continuous wall is constructed, and then the pit excavating position is excavated.
