Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the captioned chuck whereby a material to be machined can be chucked in the eccentricity changing steplessly from zero to the maximum value and thus an optional distance of eccentricity can be easily obtained.
CONSTITUTION: The value R of eccentricity between the rotational enter 20 of a fitting plate 2 and the rotational center 40 of an intermediate plate 4 and the value R of eccentricity between the rotational center 40 of the intermediate plate 4 and the center 30 of the chuck 3 are equal to each other, and the condition that the value of eccentricity is "0" wherein the center 20 and the 30 are in accord with each other can be produced. When the intermediate plate 4 is rotated, the center 30 is shifted from the center 20 sequentially and the value r of eccentricity can be set with ease. When the intermediate plate 4 is turned at an angle of 180° from the condition of "0" of the value of eccentricity, the value of eccentricity is changed steplessly from 0 to 2R at the maximum.
