Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a full-automatic polarographic analyzer in reliability, stability and accuracy by filtering the liquid collected from a process, introducing it to a measuring cell, and generating a polarographic current by using the dropping mercury electrode method to measure the current component proportional to the concentration by means of a highly-sensitive rectangular-wave polarograph.
CONSTITUTION: The sample filtered by a filter comprising a cylindrical wire gauze 4 of stainless steel and a filter cloth 5 is introduced to a measuring cell 7 through a siphon. The sample having entered the cell 7 is allowed to cool and measured after the liquids are sufficiently replaced with each other. The sample in the cell 7 undergoes the polarographic analysis by a dropping mercury electrode system.
