Abstract
PURPOSE:To move a magnetic member in a hollow drum formed by an electromagnetic winding uniformly and powerfully over the long distance without moving the winding itself, by effectively utilizing the reaction against the force working on the electromagnetic winding. CONSTITUTION:The N pole surface of a permanent magnet 3 is contacted with an end surface 4a of a plunger. A current is conducted in the clockwise direction to the left of the winding 2. In this case, a force acts on the winding 2 in the right-hand direction according to the left hand law, and the plunger 4 moves to the left by the reaction. The back surface of the permanent magnet 3 has a larger diameter than the front surface. The N pole 3a on the front surface is contacted with the end surface 4a of the plunger, and the back surface 3b becomes the S pole. In this constitution, permeance factor of the permanent magnet becomes large, the magnetic fluxes to be generated increase, the magnetic distribution is shifted to the side of the winding 2, and the number of the magnetic flux interlinkage increases. Therefore, the amount of the working force of the plunger increases. If the direction of the current conduction of the winding 2 and the magnetization of the pole surface of the permanent magnet are adequately selected, the characteristics of the amount of the working force caused by the movement of the plunger can be established depending on the balance between the force of the externally operated force and the electromagnetic structure B.
