Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a small-size device of simple construction by incorporating a stopper device in plugs. CONSTITUTION:This is an optical connector consisting of square type plugs 2, 2' and a square pipe socket 3. A leaf spring 5 and a push button 4 are provided in each of the plugs 2, 2' and a groove 7 is provided in the inside wall of the socket 3. One end of the leaf spring 5 is fixed to the plugs 2, 2' and the other end is so designed that it can be fitted into the groove 7 of the socket 3. These are so constituted that if the plugs 2, 2' are inserted into the socket 3, they fit to each other and the fitting is disengaged only by pushing the push button 4.
