Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Back 2 made of form memorizing alloy such as Ti-50%Ni alloy is cooled to the martensite transformation temp. or below, e.g., ≤-100°C by dipping in liq. N2, and size F of cooled back 2 to inside diameter E of middle 1 is reduced from the relation of F>E to that of F<E. When this dimensional relation is obtd., middle 1 is set to back 2 and heated to a temp. or above at which reverse deformation to the original phase occurs. Thus, the relation of F<E is returned to the original relation of F>E, so back 2 can be fixed by the interferece of F-E. In the drawing, 3 is glass, and glass 3 can be fixed by a similar method.
