Abstract

PURPOSE: To form coating of high film thickness type coating medium profitably, by baking the high film thickness type coating medium comprising resin, solvent, and two or more pigments, then by baking at a higher temp. thereby performing two-step baking.
CONSTITUTION: A coating medium of high film thickness type comprising resin (e.g. polyester resin), solvent, and two or more pigments such as CaCO3, silica, iron oxide, etc. The coating medium of 100pts.wt. contains 5W70pts.wt. resin, and contains 100W500pts.wt. pigment per 100pts.wt. resin. The particle size of the pigment is 0.001W70μm. The above-mentioned high film-thickness type coating medium is painted once or more time on the material to be coated and is baked so as to form a film 70W600μm in thickness. That is, the baking is performed at first at 50W130°C temp. for 5W 30min, preferably at 80W110°C temp. for 10W20min, then for the second time at 120W180°C for 10W50min, preferably at 120W140°C for 30W50min.
