Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the production of unsightly cracks which are liable to be produced at a bent portion, by a method wherein cut grooves paralleling to a bending line are made in a hard film, and a resin sheet with hard film is then bent for forming.
CONSTITUTION: In a process in which resin sheets, such as acryl, polycarbonate, etc., having a hard film, such as silica, denatured alkid, polysiloxane, etc., are bent, a plurarity of cut grooves 1W9 paralleling to a bending line are machined to a depth being about equivalent to a film thickness and at intervals of about 1W10mm, and so processed sheet is bent. A distance between the adjoining grooves of the grooves 1W 9 is made preferably such that distances between the grooves (for example, 4, 5, and 6) in proximity to the bending line are narrow, while a distance between them on a point of the resin sheet widens on the points the further outward toward both sides of the sheet. This prevents from the production of cracks except grooves previously made, and besides, the grooves themselves appear to be of a straight line pattern, which results in protecting against marring of the appearance thereof.
