Abstract
PURPOSE: To coat firmly an inner wall surface of a metal tube together with flange surfaces thereof by a method wherein an aqueous dispersion primer of fluoride resin is painted, a thermofusible fluoride resin is attached and sintered, and then a preparatory molded article of PTFE powder is sintered.
CONSTITUTION: A primer which contains Gr-ions, H-ions in an aqueous dispersion medium of fluoride resin is painted on an inner wall surface 2 of a metal tube and flange surfaces 3, 4 thereof. Before the primer is dried and cured, the film or powder of thermofusible fluoride resin is attached on them and heated at its thermal decomposition temperature to form an adhesive layer 5. Then, an inner tube 7, which is manufactured from a diaphragm 6 such as rubber and the like provided with a lot of pores 8 and is very similar to the metal tube, is sintered and PTFE powder is filled uniformly between the diaphragm 6 and the adhesive layer 5. Blind patches 10, 11 are fixed, pressure is loaded on the diaphragm 6 through the pores 8 to expand it, the PTFE powder 9 is pressed on the adhesive layer 5 to give a preparatory molding and then the PTFE powder is heated over its melting temperature.
