PURPOSE:To perform stable fault detecting operation by a fault detection system for a receiver that receives not less than two digital input signals, by feeding the detection result of a fault detecting method back to the receiver having low-frequency cutting-off characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Receiver 20 with low-frequency cutting-off characteristics receives digital input signals 23. This receiver 20 provides waveform shaping, etc., to send output 24 to post-stage device 30 and fault detecting circuit 21. When signal 23 is intermitted, circuit 21 detects the fault and feeds detection output 25a to output 28 of low-frequency cutting-off part 27 of receiver 20 via feedback circuit 22. Thus, the stable fault detection operation can be performed.
