Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide higher durability and responsiveness to a load variation for a shock absorber used for a vehicle or the like, by extending a damper piston rod through both the end walls of a damper cylinder so as to be interposed between them. CONSTITUTION:A damper D is provided between the first movable member A and the second movable member B which make relative motions to each other. A piston rod 4 passing through bearings 5, 6 disposed at both the end walls of a damper cylinder 2 is secured through a damper piston 3 which slides inside the damper cylinder 2 joined with the first movable member A. The both ends of the piston rod 4 supported by a supporting member 1 connected with the second movable member B. A creation of a bending moment of the piston rod 4 may be reduced and the slided area on the damper D may obtain higher durability and resposiveness to a load variation.
