Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent the occurrence of noise as well as prevent the burying of a deenergizing pond due to the deposition of soil and sand by letting overflow into a deenergizing pond formed between a floodgate and a rubber dam provided downstream of an overflow-type floodgate.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber dam 2 is provided downstream of an overflow-type floodgate consisting of a pair of vertically movable gates 1a and 1b, and the rubber dam 2 is made up of a baggy material into which a fluid, e.g., water or air can be filled freely controllably, by which a deenergizing pond is formed between the floodgate 1 and the rubber dam 2 when the floodgate 1 is overflowed to deepen the water depth at the position where overflow 4 falls as well as lower the falling height H of the overflow, whereby reducing noise energy due to the overflow. Also, when the gates 1a and 1b are opened, the rubber dam 2 is fully inclined to prevent interruption with the flow of water as well as discharge soil and sand deposited inside the pond 3.
