Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a margin space from being generated at the end of recording paper by a method wherein after a recording is conducted while feeding the recording paper backward, the recording paper is fed forward and cut, in the recorder such as a facsimile.
CONSTITUTION: In the initial condition, the end of the recording paper 11 is located at a cutter 7. Firstly, the recording paper 11 is fed forward by a predetermined distance under the condition where the recording head 6 and the opposite electrode 5 are separated from each other. At this time, a recording-paper guide 13 is slanted upwards to prevent the recording paper 11 from being fed toward a developer. Then, with the recording head 6 set in the recording condition, the recording is conducted while feeding the recording paper 11 backward by a distance corresponding to the recording size. At the time when the recording is finished, the end of the recording paper 11 is located at the position of the recording head 6. Thereafter, the recording-paper guide 13 is leveled, the opposite electrode 5 and the recording head 6 are separated from each other, the recording paper 11 is fed forward, and the recorded portion of the recording paper 11 is cut off by the cutter 7, re-establishing the initial condition.
