Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the print from being made thin due to the mutual interference between electromagnetic coils being arranged closely, by a method wherein small amounts of current are supplied to the nondriving coils which are adjacent to the driving coil, in the adjacently arranged electromagnetic coils of the dot printer. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a current is supplied to the electromagnetic coil M2 of the impact type dot printer in order to drive the printing operation, the magnetic flux generated at the coil M2 leaks to the adjacent electromagnetic coils M1 and M3, thereby weakening the magnetic force of the coil M2 and resulting in an unclear print. To avoid this problem, small amounts of current which do not drive the dot pins are supplied to the coils M1 and M2 to generate weak magnetic fluxes, which make the magnetic flux of the coil M2 more repulsive. Accordingly, when a printing signal is impressed on a terminal b, a coil 9b is driven and the current weakened by the resistance flows also into the adjacent electromangnetic coils 9a, 9c through diodes. In addition, since the reduction in the magnetic force of the coil can be prevented, the printing speed is enhanced and the printer is miniaturized.
