Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an optional color tone to conductive wires formed on a glass plate using a conductive paste without affecting the electric resistance of the wires by changing the specific surface of silver powder mixed in the paste.
CONSTITUTION: Conductive wires may be installed on the inner surface of the rear window of an automobile to remove fog or dew drops by passing current on such wires. These wires are usually formed by coating a conductive paste containing silver powder on the glass surface and baking by heating. In the above process, the color tone of the obtained conductive wires is optionally varied by using, as the silver powder in the paste, a specific proportion of silver powder types having different specific surfaces. The color tone goes to silver-white as silver powder of small specific surface increases, to dark brown with increased silver powder of large specific surface.
