Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower the cost of insulation for a conductive strand by coating oxidized film of cupric oxide over the surface of the strand for insulation.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating layer 14 of copper or aluminium strand 12 is composed of thin oxide film formed over the strand. For example, a copper strand 12 is heated over 300 degrees C. for forming film of cupric oxide over its surface. This film can function as an insulating layer 14 for the strand and be greatly lowered in the cost in comparison with enamel-coating and others.
