Abstract

PURPOSE: To dissolve the generation of the end face damage due to the shearing work, the aging cracks after the shearing work, the bend during the bundle cooling process, etc., by specifying the temperature condition at shearing and bundling the hot rolled steel bar.
CONSTITUTION: The hot rooled steel bar is sheared at 400°C or higher temperatures. The reason of specifying this temperature condition is as follows; if the shearing work is done at 300°C or lower and 400°C or higher temperatures, the end face damage is not caused; however, if the shearing work is done at 300°C or lower temperatures, the aging cracks are caused. Next, this sheared steel bar is bundled at 400W500°C. If the bundling work is done at this temperature range, the generation of the bend in the steel bar during the bundle cooling period is disolved, so that the steel bar is manufactured at good shape.
