Abstract

PURPOSE: To paint coating medium on the surface of a filament uniformly and continuously, by making a taking out member for coating medium go in, or out of, a coating medium tank, and by passing the filament through a groove made in the taking out member while allowing a restricting members for coating medium to contact with the groove.
CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is composed of a coating medium tank 2 contg. volatile coating medium, a disk taking out member 3 for coating medium, at the periphery of which is made a groove 3a and which is rotatable and is partly immersed in the tank 2, a path 5, where a filament 4 passes the groove 3a tangentially, made at the upper part of the member 3, the first and the second restricting members 61 and 62, which restrict the coating medium held in the groove 3a to a quantity necessary for painting. The coating medium in quantity more than necessary for painting the filament 4 is taken out of the tank 2 into the groove 3a of the member 3, restricted by the restricting members 61, 62, and is allowed to contact with the filament 4 in the groove 3a, hereby the coating medium is applied to the surface of the filament 4 uniformly, continuously at all times.
