Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent electric shock and enable an npn silicon transistor to be used for oscillation by so forming a circuit as to inhibit the discharging of the residual charge of a main capacitor. CONSTITUTION:The emitter of an npn silicon transistor TR5 for oscillation is connected to the negative pole terminal 1b of a battery case and the positive terminal 1a is connected to the anode of a diode 11 by way of the secondary winding 7cc of an oscillating transformer 7. In addition, the base of the TR5 is connected to the cathode of the diode 11 by way of a main capacitor 13. With such circuit formation, the discharging of the residual charge of the main capacitor 13 is inhibited by the diode 11 and an electric discharge tube 15 in a high impedance state; therefore, the electric shock accident that may occur at the exchanging of batteries may be prevented. In addition, an inexpensive npn silicon transistor may be used for the transistor for oscillation.
