Abstract

PURPOSE:To exhaust liquefied gas leaked from a storage vessel due to crack by a method wherein a gap is formed between a molded panel and an outer wall of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:A low temperature material storage vessel is insulated by means of a molded panel 1 made of foamed polyethylene which is adhered in layer to the outer wall 8 of the vessel and a supporting panel 3. In this case, since the molded panel 1 is melt-stuck to the supporting panel 3 by only being stuck at several spots to the outer wall 8, there exists a gap between the surface of the outer wall 8 and the molded panel 1. Liquefied gas leaked from the vessel through crack generated on the outer wall 8 is exhausted to the outside from gaps between overlapping parts of outer facing 2 and parts not applied with metallic fittings 10 or aluminum tapes.
