Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the mobility of the captioned apparatus on a wall, the apparatus being capable of sticking on the wall by the surrounding fluid pressure and of moving to effect grinding and sweeping, by forming the partitions of the apparatus from resilient material, and by extending the free ends of the partitions, which will be in contact with the wall, outwardly from the base portions of the partitions.
CONSTITUTION: The partitions 6 extend outwardly from the base A that is connected to a pressure receiving body 5, and the free ends of the partitions 6 can be in contact with points C that are located outside the points B perpendicularly below the base A. Parts of the partitions 6, particularly parts thereof adjacent to the base A, are made from a resilient material such that the free ends can move toward or away from the wall easily by a small force. Thus the free ends of the partitions 6 can be moved easily by a small force to be in contact with the wall 1, and the force acting on the pressure receiving body 5 due to the pressure difference of the ambient fluid can be conducted to the wall 1 through wheels 2. Accordingly the capacity of the vacuum source can be reduced and therefore the pressure receiving body can be easily moved.
