Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a living body restoring harmless sintered body having high adhesion to the tissues of the living body by molding an alloy composition consisting of Ti, Pd, Pt and Mo in a specified ratio followed by sintering.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy consisting of 99.95W55wt% Ti and 0.05W45wt% one or more among Pd, Pt and Mo is formed into a cylindrical shape. In chamber 1 fixed electrode (-)2 and rotating electrode (+)4 of the Ti-Pd, Ti-Pt or Ti-Mo cylindrical alloy are set. Chamber 1 is evacuated from outlet 5, and an inert gas is introduced from inlet 6. While rotating electrode 4 with motor 3 arc discharge is generated. Alloy 7 thus melted is separated, scattered, and solidified on the inner wall of chamber 1. Solidified alloy 71 is spheres of 3W300μm particle size and recovered in pocket 8. The spheres are then suitably molded and heated at about 1,000W 1,400°C under about 10-6mmHg for about 2W50hr to obtain a sintered body with ≤90% porosity.
