Abstract

PURPOSE: A molding, casting or adhesive material having improved flexibility, impact resistance, adhesion and water resistance, comprising an epoxy resin, a specified carboxyl group-containing liquid copolymer and a curing agent.
CONSTITUTION: The material comprises (A) an epoxy resin, (B) a carboxyl group- containing liquid copolymer consisting of 15W50wt% of acrylonitrile, 40W80wt% of a conjugated diolefin and 0.1W15wt% of an α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and (C) a curing agent. One hundred 100pts.wt. of said component (A) is mixed with 5W150pts.wt. of said component (B). As component (A), there can be mentioned the reaction product between epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A. As the conjugated diolefin in component B, there can be mentioned 1,3-butadiene and as the α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, there can be mentioned acrylic acid and as the component (C), there can be mentioned an amine.
