Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled adhesive with excellent shearing strength and peeling strength, comprising an epoxy resin, a modified product prepd. by grafting an unsaturated carboxylic acid on a specified block copolymer, and a curing agent for the epoxy resin.
CONSTITUTION: An epoxy resin-fase adhesive comprising 100pts.wt. epoxy resin, 5W100pts.wt. modified block copolymer prepd. by grafting 0.01W30wt% unsaturated carboxylic acid or a deriv. thereof on a block copolymer of formulasIWV (wherein A is a block consisting of a monovinyl-substd. arom. compd. polymer; B is a block consisting of a conjugated diolefin; X is a polyfunctional residue having m bonds; m is 3W7; n is 2W10) having a monovinyl-substd. arom. compd. content of 10W70wt% and number-average molecular weight of 5,000W500,000 or a hydrogenated product thereof, and an adequate amt. of a curing agent for the epoxy resin.
