Abstract
PURPOSE: Titled complex useful as redox catalyst, oxygen absorber, etc., prepared by combining a proximal base type 5-coordinated high-spin type iron porphyrin complex with an amino group-containing polymer.
CONSTITUTION: A proximal base type high-molecular iron porphyrin complex represented by formula IV, is obtained by combining a proximal base type iron porphyrin complex represented by formula I, wherein PP is an iron porphyrin complex having a porphyrin ring of formula II and having, in the center of the ring, a coordinated iron atom, R is methyl or ethyl and n is 4W6, with a polymer represented by formula III, wherein A is a monomer unit having a primary or secondary amino group of -{H(N)a} in the main chain or the side chain, a is 0 or 1, B is a copolymerizable monomer unit, l and m are each mol% of each monomer, l+m= 100%, l>0 and m≥0.
