Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the amplitude of vibration in an axial direction near the point of resonance of a flywheel with an electromagnet, by providing at least one of a damper for suppressing the axial vibration of the flywheel and a damper for suppressing the axial vibration of the electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:A motor dynamo 1 comprises a rotor 11, a frame 12 and a stator 13. The rotor 11 is connected to the rotary shaft 20 of a flywheel 2 by a coupling 3. The flywheel 2 is rotatably supported on bearings 21, 22 in a casing 23. A disc 24 is secured on the bottom of the rotary shaft 20. The disc 24 faces a pad 25 across a prescribed gap. Viscous oil is supplied in between the disc 24 and the pad 25 from a pump not shown in the drawing, thereby constructing an oil damper 4. An electromagnet 5 is opposed to the top of the flywheel 2 across a prescribed gap and attached to the casing 23 by a plurality of load converters 6 and dampers 7.
