Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the damaging of optical fiber cables from occuring and make photo connection easy and sure by connecting the optical connector of a printed substrate and a repeating connector for terminating of an externally connected optical cable by means a short-sized optical fiber within a rack. CONSTITUTION:A printed substrate 2 carrying an optical transmission unit 1 is mounted to a rack 3, and the receptacle 4 of the substrate 2 and a plug 8 for terminating of the externally connected optical fiber cable 5 provided to a bracket 6 are connector-connected by means of a short-sized optical fiber 9 provided with a plug 8 a receptacle 7 at both ends. With the constitution in which this connected part does not expose to the outside of the rack 3, the damaging of the optical fiber cables is prevented and the connection of various kinds of optical fiber cables is easily and surely accomplished. Thus, a folding test by utilizing a spare optical fiber cable or a bracketing test of transmission units become easy.
