Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain sintered Al parts with a smooth surface and high dimentional accuracy by a method wherein an Al powder molded under pressure in sintered and, after a lubricating dry film is coated to the surface of the sintered parts, the sizing processing is carried out.
CONSTITUTION: The Al powder put into a mold is molded under pressure and subjected to the heat sintering treatment at about 600°C, for example. Subsequently, the obtained Al sintered parts are subjected to the pretreatment such as the chromate treatment or the like to enhance the adhesiveness thereof and, thereafter, a lubricating dry film is coated on the surface of the sintered parts. As this lubricating dry coating, there are a lubricating coating type obtained by compounding a binder (e.g.; an org. cellulose) to a solid lubricant (e.g.; MoS2) to form a coating and a self-lubricating coating type being a self-lubricating high molecular coating (e.g.; a fluorine resin). Subsequently, the sizing processing is applied to the surface of the sintered parts having a lubricating dry film coated thereon. By this coating treatment, the sizing processing can be carried out smoothly and the sintered Al parts with surface smoothness and high dimensional accuracy.
