Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a novel anti-blocking agent which effectively prevents the sticking and fusion between raw rubbers or vulcanized rubbers, by mixing specific amounts of a specific solid metallic soap, a specific alkali metal carboxylate and an (un)saturated fatty acid.
CONSTITUTION: The objective anti-blocking agent containing (A) 1pt.wt. of one or more solid metallic soap of formula (RCOO)nM (R is 5W21C alkyl; n is 2W4; M is metal atom such as Al, Mg, Ca, etc.), pref. calcium stearate, etc., (B) 1W 100pts.wt. of an alkali metal carboxylate of formula R'COOM' (R' is 5W21C alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; M' is Na or K), pref. sodium oleate, and (C) 0.05W3pts.wt. of a 4W20C (un)saturated fatty acid (pref. oleic acid). The agent can be used as an emulsion by adding 1W500pts.wt. of water per 1pt.wt. of the component (A).
