Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the voltage regulation relative to a load current by forming an empty slot in at least a stator or a rotor. CONSTITUTION:By providing an empty slot 22, field currents 11 and 11 are concentrated, and parts of magnetic fluxes of windings are not mutually cancelled, the total magnetic quantity is increased, and the dielectric electromotive force is increased. Therefore, the rotational speed of the rotor establishing the voltage is lowered. By the increase in the winding coefficients of the windings 11 and 11, the saturation of the core inner magnetic flux increases. Therefore, with respect to the variation in the load current flowing through the load, the variation width of the output voltage is decreased. Further, air sent by a fan easily passes through a gap between the stator and the rotor and an empty slot 22 to efficiently cool the generator. As a result, the voltage regulation with respect to the load current can be lowered.
