Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the fatigue of a test sample, by switching the setting reference value of the static tension by the stress measurement end signal during the measurement preparatory period of a vibration stress of 0 and at the same time detecting and monitoring the static stress to maintain it at 0 automatically.
CONSTITUTION: The viscoelastic measuring device gives the vibration and the static potential to the sample 16 by the driving device 12, and then detects the stress caused by displacement through the displacement detector 20 and the stress detector 22 each. This stress is then supplied to the microcomputer 24 to detect the degree of the vibration displacement and the stress puls their phase difference each and then calculated. And this result of calculation is sent to the reader 26 for display. Then the application of the vibration displacement is discontinued by the gate 40 and through the end command of the microcomputer, and at the same time the switch gate 36 is switched so as to change the static stress of 0 into the reference value of the comparator 32. Thus the stress is always detected an then kept automatically and constantly at the value of 0 in the tensile region so that the sample may receive no compression force or the like. As a result, the vibration can be applied in the tensile state at all times.
