Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a photoreceptor free from toxicity, high in photosensitivity and corona chargeable potential, and low in residual potential after light illumination, by using a photoreceptor consisting of α type copper phthalocyanine, a silicone resin having OR groups, and a polyurethane resin.
CONSTITUTION: α Type phthalocyanine, a silicone resin having OR groups, R being H, CH3, C2H5, C3H7, or C4H9, and a polyurethane are combined to form a binder, and a photosensitive layer as well as a photoreceptor are prepared using this binder. α Type copper phthalocyanine usually available on the market may be used, and it does not pollute the environment and is untoxic for a human body. In place of said polyurethane resin, an isocyanate compound and a polyol compound may be used in combination. Said 2 resins enhance photosensitivity characteristics by use in combination, and preferable amount of the silicone resin is 10W90pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. total silicone and urethane resins. The obtained photosensitive film is superior in smoothness and copying performance.
