Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of cracking of welded zone in lap joint welding of sheets by performing regulat welding beads dividedly twice and overlapping the end parts thereof.
CONSTITUTION: After the joining part of an upper plate 11 and a lower plate 12 is tack welded at predetermined intervals, regular welding beads 13 are performed at the width wider than the width (length in the vertical direction) of the tack welding beads 14 to perfectly remelt the tack welding beads 14. The regular welding beads 13 are formed to a flat or convex shape. The end parts 15 of the regular welding beads 13 are successively deviated to the upper plate 11 side so that the weld line 16 is curved gently to the upper plate 11 side. The 2nd regular welding beads 17 are formed so as to overlap on the lower plate 13 side of these end parts 15. Namely, the weld line 18 of the 2nd regular welding beads 17 is set parallel to the weld line 16 of the 1st regular welding beads 13 and the lower plate 12 side of the end parts 15 of the 1st regular welding beads 13 is perfectly melded. Thereby, the occurrence of the cracking of the joint 19 is prevented.
